New additions

Well I'm waiting to find out why LA/Quality Marine didn't ship my two fish yesterday :hammer: This crap has been going on since 12/21 :hammer: They have apologized for the last three times they didn't ship and as of last week had me getting my fish with shipping at no cost to me. I even got a call yesterday and they told me that both of my fish would be shipping yesterday. Well still no email as of this morning. So I called LA and they're looking into why they yet again didn't ship. I told them that this was past ridiculous and totally unacceptable! :hammer:

I was even told last Friday that they didn't have my RG in stock but would ship the matted file fish no matter what on 1/4/16, and when they got the RG in inventory they would ship it right away at their expense. That didn't happen either
So now I'm waiting to see what they're going to do.

I'll get the acan garden done this weekend after I get a final idea how I want it to look.

Purchasing online has it's drawbacks. Especially in instances such as your. They over promise and under deliver.
Hopefully they will get your order straightened out soon.

Here are my latest and final fish additions. A Matted File Fish and a Royal Gramma. Not sure why I decided to get the File Fish out of the bag with a net :headwally: but his top fin got caught in the net and I couldn't get it free. SOOOOO I grabbed a scissors and cut it free. Now my File Fish has a head dressing :hmm3:

Love all the blasto, torch and Duncan! You may have to send me some frags! Why don't you mount the euphyllia on the big
Rock
On the right?

The big rock on the right has SPS corals on it and one devils hand leather that I got as a hitchhiker on some LR. :D

Here is where I get all of my corals from and you will not beat the prices. Just tell him that Dave told you to call him. His name is also Dave. Here is his website. If he doesn't have something you want he will get it for you.

Yes I've been toying with other rock options as I've got quite a bit in my sump. But there are some things I hesitate to do because fish live in certain places in my rock work.

My Midas Blenny has his main hole in that big rock on the right and the Cherub Angel lives under it and the rocks it's resting on. It's like he has a two story condo LOL One in the sand and one level up with rock. So I figured since it was taller I could put the SPS on that rock and have them in one place. I'm not really fond of the big rock and I had a better one there. But when I got rid of 4 BTA's they were all on that rock so I just gave the rock with them.

Well a lot has gone on in my tank since I last posted 2 months ago. I upgraded my lights from the Chinese Black Box to Ocean Revive Arctic T247 and can tell you it's the best thing I've bought for my tank. It's so much more powerful than the CBB that I killed half of my acans :( I've got lots of picture of them before the light issue which I've finally got the settings under control and the acans that lived through the light debacle are bigger and better than they were before with being under the CBB set to 100% blues and 60% whites. With that in mind I set my new T247 to 60% blue and 40% white which is what burned my corals. Many others weren't burned but not too happy with the new lights at that setting.

Other things that happened were I started seeing my corals looking generally like crap, so I decided to do a full set of water parameters (stopped checking them due to them being so stable for a long time) Because I had added more fish my nitrates were 80 ish. Well a couple of quick WC's and I had them down to between 20-30 ppm. Still couldn't get them any lower so I got NoPox and dosed 6 ml per day for 10 days and now both nitrates and phosphates are barely detectable.

So the next thing that happened was a few of my fish were doing some terrible head shakes and my McCosker's wrasse had a few visible flukes on him and my Female Mocha clown had the bad head shakes. I got PraziPro and did the recommended dose of 1 tsp per 20 gals of actual water, for my system this was 2 tsp and leave in the tank for 5-7 days. Well as soon as I dosed the PP my female clown started spitting out flukes from her mouth and from her gills and the visible ones on the MW were no longer there. So I did a 50% WC and ran carbon for 4 days to get ready for round 2. Well I started seeing flukes on the MW and the female Mocha started shaking her head again, so I did a little research on PP and treating Flukes. I wound up having to triple dose the PP to using 1.5 tsp per 10 gal of water or in my case 6 tsp and leave in system for 5-7 days. Well that worked and you can read my thread on it here: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2556460&highlight=prazipro

One of my new fish the Matted File fish was caught eating my Blasto's so I pulled him from the tank. Don't remember if I had mentioned anywhere in this thread that my Hector's goby dissapeared. Was eating normally that night and the next morning never showed up for his morning NLS pellets never to be seen again. No didn't jump or end up in the overflow... just gone. I've had him close to a year and he was a mature fish when I got him, so maybe died of old age... I really don't know :(

So my fish inventory is as follows

Cherub Angel
Pair Mocha Ocellaris clowns
McCosker's wrasse
Golden Midas Blenny
Royal Gramma

This past Friday I purchased a new fish to add that will come tomorrow and it's a beauty!!!!! Yellow Candy Hog Fish you can see it here: http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversde...ref=4282&subref=AI&cmpid=E-_-TR-_-DDN-_-PRDCT

SO this past Saturday I went to a Coral swap meet in Omaha, NE and bought quite a few New Additions :D I'll be posting pictures of them this week as well. I got 3 torchs, 2 Duncan's one purple tentacles and the other green, Rainbow BTA about 5" fully open but hiding behind the rocks :hammer: A beautiful large Australian Elegance, several acans and some are amazing and a frogspawn that has two different colors plus one really nice Blasto. I'll be posting pictures of all later this week.

So for now here is a current FTS and one from the left and right sides. Today I'm going to try and do some rock changes and additions then get corals arranged in a much better way than they are now.

Great shots this is your 40B right?

I want to do this next - after I absorb the shock of my first tank.

Was actually thinking if I could do 2 40B and share a sump to save cost lol

Yep it's my 40b. Stay tuned for many more great pictures to come. My new Elegance is open way more than in those pictures as well as all of my new ones are looking Fantastic!!!!

I only used one when I had it and I had 6" of dark space on each side of my tank. They were more of a spotlight than a broadcast light. I'm so very happy with my new lights and since I got the numbers dialed in so are my corals.

if you don't mind me asking, what is your lighting schedule/intensity? our lights are similar, my corals all seem happy so far with my lighting, just want to compare to see.

No problem, With the Ocean Revive Arctic T247 it's on blues set to 60% on at 5am and off at 7pm. Whites set to 20% on at 8am off at 3pm. I just raised the blues yesterday from 50% to 60% today was the first day running at that and looks much better. Just remember this is for my tank and corals that were previously on LED's just at a different spectrum. The difference between this light and the CBB is night and day.

I will get up a lot of pictures between now and hopefully Friday as I've got several Dr appointments this week,my spine surgery is scheduled for March 31st which is coming rather quickly.

OK so in no particular order here are the long awaited pictures. These first acan groups I'm posting were before getting the OR Arctic T247 and were with the Chinese Black Box.
