Have a few questions actually. Got an anemone from a friend of mine last night on an impulse. He acquired it in a tank breakdown purchase the week before. Supposedly, it's some sort of bubble tip. I wasn't really open much when I got it and was attached to a rock. Once in my tank, it proceeded to leave that rock behind and travel down and behind another large rock. Today, it's in the same area and completely closed.
Ok, I know it has to get used to its surroundings and decide where it wants to be, but is it normal for it to be closed?? I plan to leave it alone unless suggested to do otherwise. It's not really getting light where it is either. Will it be ok without light? Will it eventually go to light? I'm sure it's had a traumatic couple of weeks and am just looking for advice to help speed his recovery and hopefully make him a happy addition to my tank.
He's in a most difficult place to photograph, but I can describe it as... having a base roughly 2" in diameter and 1.5" tall and white in color. As far as the tentacles, Seem reddish/brown in color of unknown length or shape due to it not being open. Lame description I know but I will do my best. No experience what-so-ever with anemones but like to think that I'm reasonably intelligent and capable of figuring things out with proper guidance and research. Just hoping to have some help/advice from you guys/girls.
Thanks in advance
