new anemone

i recently purchased this nem a week ago LFS told me it was a redfooted nem. just wanted some info on it. i noticed that it got comfortable right away and is opened up. when i try to feed it either it just wont take it or it closes all the way up. i tried putting shrimp and other things on a stick and pass it by him but he closes up. is this normal. what should i be feeding it and how. cant tell by pic but the color is an off white somewhat beige is this normal color cause they say white means stress but it isnt white.

Hard to say with that pic, but looks pretty "transparent- white," which usually does mean it has bleached, usually from shipping stress. It's not a death sentence, but if it is the case, just keep it in good light, pay attention to water quality, and try not to mess with it too much while it settles in for a couple weeks.

looks very very bleached to me, but a bigger, sharper pic would be nice. My bta was bleached when i got it (RESCUE!!!!) and with constant pieces of raw shrimp, some pellets which it grabs, and a few frozen mysis, it's getting a lot of color back, and it bubbles up a lot.
