Well i bought a new Apex to replace my AC III. i think the AC III was like 15 or more years old.

Ran into a problem connecting the Apex to Wifi. John thanks for the support. I just ended up repeating the steps and finally it connected. Kept getting connection error messages and then it just did it's thing. Doing some updating right now.

You'll be very happy with it. If you run into issues just call neptune. Their over the phone service has been great.

So my 250 watt halides have come on the Apex Power EB 832 has led lights that track power consumption and if your over drawing they will flicker. the 2 plugs running my halides are flickering. Can't plug them in anywhere else and I actually had a seperate circuit with plug ran from my main panel to the tank

Time to upgrade lights!

That means the Apex thinks the lights are drawing too much for each outlet of the EB. They are limited to 7A each or 15A for all outlets. How many amps do those space heaters draw? :)

Assuming the lights are just using 250w (no overhead for the ballast), they should be drawing about 2.2A each. Something is wrong here. Your ballast should have info about amps, watts, etc.

Good you got the wifi setup to work. I wonder what the problem was.

Good sleuthing John!

I run my 400w "space heaters" (John must be running LEDs now!) on a separate circuit and not through my controller.

It would be great if that link told you how to update the firmware. It's not odvious and I'm trying to figure it out.

Neptune just took control of my computer and went in and did a update and some other stuff for me. Don't be afraid to call them. Part of that $800+ is paying for tech support.

Steve,

yes I plan on calling them, but they are only available Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. I was assuming they could dial in and take a look and make adjustements. I also want to understand why the plugs on the EB 832 ( powerstrip) don't coorispond with the way they are listed on Fushion. I have one of my halides running off the refugium light plug

You can configure the Fusion interface to look any way you like. Also the names of the outlets are also user defined.

From the dashboard view:
To rearrange the outlets just click the lock icon (upper right corner). All the items will start wiggling like apps on your phone. Just drag them to where ever you want them. Click the lock again to stop the wiggles!

To rename an outlet just click on the gear icon of that outlet. In the next screen you can rename it. Click on the cloud icon to upload that new name to the server. Note this could effect programming if you refer to that outlet in an 'advanced' section of another outlet.

Here's an example:
If Outlet M_Pump_3-5 = OFF Then OFF
Defer 005:00 Then ON

This is in the skimmer program. It shuts off the skimmer if the main pump (M_Pump_3-5) is off and waits five minutes after the main pump is on to restart the skimmer. If I changed the name of the main pump outlet and didn't also change it here it wouldn't work correctly.

Thanks John I called support today and they walked me through it. I had tried to rename an outlet i just learned there can be no spaces. To do a space it must be and underscore.
