do these have the bubble cone plates like the co line of skimmers? doesnt look like it from the pic you posted. thanks

They do have a bubble plate but not as cool as the ConeS series of skimmers. Check out the video in the product description we posted last week for some more close up action of the skimmer.

Pricing right now is almost no difference, but I have a 28g JBJ Pro LED. I don't wan't to use excess power or use up excess room would this be more then needed for my 28g? Should I wait for the HOB-1 to come back in-stock or take this time to get the newer bigger one? How is the fit and such. Thanks

It sounds like the HOB-1 would be a better fit for you. It's less expensive, uses less power and takes up less space in the back of your tank (by a little). It's tried, tested, very popular and is already rated for an aquarium much larger than what you're running. Either way, we think you'd be happy as we've tested both in our office aquariums and were pleased with the results and craftsmanship. The HOB-1 should be back in stock any day now.
