New babies

Ah ha! So you bought the C. lunatus! Congrats Brett! Glad to see they arrived safe and sound :)

Edit: I missed where you said you were guilty in the other thread...need to pay better attention!

Yay! They look awesome :) I'm a fan of NYA

Thank you, Michael has taken really good care of me lately and he never disappoints with the rare stuff.

Very nice!!

Thanks Peter

Did you see the article on reef builders about these two? I tried to post the link but I guess I can't...

It's cool that these hybridize in the wild. Congrats on your purchase!

I did, fish blogs are my weakness. Can't get enough of them :)

Wow! Awesome pickups! I've been dieing to get a lancelatus pair.

Thanks Wayne, I believe they are still in stock. Can't wait to see him in the light tomorrow, I left the light off today to let them settle. They seem very alert and both ate PE mysis. I also got a Red Sea mimic blenny but he seems pretty stressed, we'll see.

Glad you picked the lunatus. Really looking forward to seeing more pics!

I picked up a C. cf lanceolatus as well. It just arrived today. Fingers crossed!

Thanks, I haven't got to see him in the light yet but he's really cool shaped with the lunate tail, allmost like a big Johnsoni in a way. The pics from Japan are a little cooler looking color wise but I'd imagine the Ones from the Philippines will fare better in my warmer tank than the ones from Japan.

Glad you snagged them. I am hoping he gets in a couple diamond tails. My cf lanceolatus is doing great, really cool fish.

Thanks, I've been watching for the Lanceolatus but didn't expect the lunate to pop up. I wonder if he just had one. My diamond tail is big wimp and spends most of his time in the rocks, I think he's scared of my kuiteri. The kuiteri is all bark and all the other wrasses know it except the diamond tail. Hopefully he'll get over it in time cause I can't catch the leopard to save my life. Glad your cf. Lanceolatus is doing well, post up some pics if you get a chance.

I actually prefer the Philippines variant over the Japanese...

And surprised to hear that about your Diamond Tail. Mine is out all of the time. Smallest Wrasse in the tank, but has the biggest attitude :)

Congrats Brett, some really nice pickups!

Thanks ED

Mine was the same way and then he disappeared for two days and has been a nervous wreck since. I've never seen any aggression towards him that concerned me. I hope he gets tougher cause it really is a shame.

Yes. Also called Pin Tail, but they may be out now. The last time I looked, they had a picture on the home page but the link to the item was not active. Maybe they will get some more. My first order from NYA and I was happy with the packing and condition of the fish. Mine was eating too.

Can't wait to see more of that lunatusover the next few days.
