New Blackfin from Reef Flo

Mine had gotten loud and there was a rattling too. The rattling wore off after a day. I took the pump apart per chris's instructions and put it back together. The impeller was wobbling.
The new one does this as well, But the noise is gone. It took a couple days for the noise to ramp up in the first place so i am waiting.
Plus the pump is rattling like it did before at first.
I think the rattling is the black plastic sleeve that is on the impeller. It sits there loose. I think its there to direct flow to the impeller better.
The fan wobbles too in the same fashon as the impeller.
Something is up. I dont expect it to last long before it gets noisy again because the old impeller looks the same as the new one, and that didn affect the wobbling.

When the pump is running correctly its a sweet pump. I like it alot!! Just a couple bugs, hense the trial. I knew what to expect because i beta tested before.

I ordered the 2500 for the 210 I am setting up after talking to Chris. Received my pump yesterday and was surprised after opening the box and finding screws laying in the bottom of it. The plastic electric box cover was not screwed down at all and one screw missing, and the fan shroud only had one of the 3 screws. The funny part is that there is a "Quality control passed" sticker on the shroud! I haven't even plugged it in and I'm already worried.

I sent this info to Chris and imedietly recieved back this e-mail:

Thanks for the info , sorry. We are using a contract mfg so I will use this as a trainer. I will send you a survey in a few weeks and hopefully all will be well by then. Chris

Pump has been up and running for awhile now. By far one of the noiseist pumps I have ever heard in this size range. Trying to get this resolved with Chris (the owner) but not much luck yet. Other then the noise the pump seems to work very well, runs very cool, and seems very efficient. Mike
