Well I just got a new blue gigantea today. I have to say wow this thing is really neat. I got it right from a wholesaler who never even opened it up at his place. So I would have to say from sea to tank in less than 48 hours. I plan on keeping this as a log on its care good or bad. Its a good sized I would have to guess its close to 9" from one side to the other. I cant wait to see how big it really gets once it get settled in. But I guess on with the pictures. They were taken with in just a couple of mins after it was placed in my tank. I did do a drip on it for close to 3 hours to get it use to my tank. Please enjoy and let me know what you think about it.

48hours no wholesaler/retailer layovers, now that's the way to get these animals! It look's like you're off to a great start!

Well if anyone else is looking for one the guy that I got mine from at http://www.oceanproaquatics.com/shop...0579b5bf11e9f5 just told me that he got 3 more in today and they look even larger than the one that I got. And the price you cant say anything thing bad about it. I belive that they are also going for $125 each plus shipping. I had mine shipped by airport dash and it worked out great. It might say that they are sold out but email him and he has them in stock or can get it for you if he is out. I had to only wait about 3 days. I know that it says that its a haddoni but I told him that I was wanting a gig and he pulled through for me.

You bought from this place? how did you place your order did you buy on the picture or the title. They are selling xenia as an LTA??

I was a little iffy about it to when I looked at there website. But after a few emails I thought what the heck I will try it. Well it looks like I came out a head on this order.

yes you did..looks like a very nice nem...quick question

I got a blue gigantea recently as well...does the underside of your have spots on it? mine doesnt. I've been told Dr. Mac (where I bought it from) that it was in fact a gigantea, and others on reefcentral have identified it as gigantea, but I see no spots.

I will take some more tomorrow. The light are out and I have been talking with some family that just flew in from out of state. But its doing great and is fully expanded. My clowns have taken to it sometime today and are playing tag in it. But if I had to take a guess on how big it is today I would have to say around 14" fully expanded with the MH's on for a few hours. But a picture update and if I can figure out to post a video I will do that to tomorrow.

But untill the new pictures tomorrow here are some from yesterday. I hope that you enjoy them.

Beautiful carpet AND beautiful clam that it's next to! Has the mouth been completely closed since you've gotten it yet? Just wondering if a gig's mouth will ever close tightly like a BTA's when it's puckered up.
