New bold blue base Gigantea and question about infections

I bought a blue based Gigantea yesterday that was looking healthy despite being bleached. It was sticky and mouth was tightly closed with great posture. EDIT: Picture is not loading will fix when I get home.

Question: I read that the deseases are species specific so Gigantea won't infect Haddoni. I have an established Haddoni and have noticed this morning that it's mouth is looking strange and concerning so I'm now wondering if what I had read was false and they can infact infect each other.

Since it appears that haddoni and gigantea can hybridize, I would think they can likely share infections as well.

I can confirm that they do share infections. I had a sick gigantea that ended up killing my healthy haddoni. Also, it appears that once haddoni have the infection, they are harder to treat than gigantea. While I've successfully treat several gigantea, I have yet to have a haddoni survive treatment.
