So i just picked up a BTA anemone from the LFS yesterday. Got it home...acclimation went well
When i first put em in the tank he floated around in the current for a few and then found a nice little tunnel cave to rest on. Today i woke up and found him on the inside of the cave and he was about 1/2 the size that he was before.
I fed him lastnight after i let him settle in his spot. I fed him a few chunks of krill.
All of his tentacles were smaller in size and none of them had any bubbles.
When i looked closely i could see that his mouth looked as if it was raising up above the tentacles almost. I dont know if it was his mouth or not but it was just white tissue.
He also has this brownish pink gooey string stuff coming from the top or side...i couldnt tell from his and my positions.
All parameters seemed ok. My nitrates were up a little, like 10....my ammonia was up a little also, about the same. But they werent in the near danger or danger zones. And ive had my two false percs in there for about 3-4 days.
I have a 12g AP with stock lighting atm...i have a 70w MH that should be in at the start of the week.
Im planning on doing a water change either tonight or tomorrow. Doing 3 gallons or RO/DI water from Meijer.
Can anyone tell me what is happening? I dont want this 35$ glory to go down the crapper.
