its a 48inch 90 gallon I have two 250 w mh. and no supplement / moonlight... will this be fine to run 7 hours a day for a few months until I save up for reef brite led supplementation?? .................. and I have nw150 reef octopus skimmer will that be fine?.... total system is 90g display with 55 sump.... half full and soon a 40 long frag tank with my old t5 fixture...?? so total water volume around 150g

What type of MH DE or SE bulbs?, what type of ballast do you have?

they are se radium 20k with galaxy dual 250w electronic ballast..

You know; if you put any T5 over an aquarium even if they are 54w, it's really only good for low-light coral and then only a few inches deep. If you'll put one of your 250's over the end of your frag tank with a 6500K lamp and use half the frag tank for a cryptic zone you'll come up with some really nice coral. The sponges will feed the coral and the coral slime will feed the sponges. I have a friend there in the US, Steve, he owns Reef Farmers and he'll send you a starter kit for sponges; I own 5th Day Aquaria in the Philippines but we don't ship to the US.

Really? T5 can only support low light corals? Under a few inches?
