New carpet anemone

I purchased a new anemone saturday for my two clows. I decided to place him on a small rock so if I need to move him later I just move the rock with him.

I tried to feed a shrimp the piece the size of his mouth opening. It disappeared and then about 2 hrs later he spit it out.

Today, monday I tried to feed it a half piece of silver side (thawed), it stuck to his tentacles and then he released it.

The clowns are interested but have not started rubbing or using it as shelter yet either.

How long does it take them to finally eat? Is this normal?

Is it a Gig or Haddoni?

Did you acclimate it to your lights?

What are your current water parameters? (( with numbers? ))

Don't know what kind. Anyone can help?

This is what it looks like. Should I bury the rock and its base a little more so it will lay itself out??

Water is good. No I did not acclimate to lighting. I did the 15 mins in sump and then I put it in the tank on the rock. 30" deep tank with 500 watt MH

First, "water is good" really doesn't say a whole lot --- numbers are helpful.

Is that under actinic only lighting? Looks a bit bleached.

Is the underside of the oral disc smooth, or does it have bumps? Right now I am leaning towards a bleached Gig.

I do not have actinic lighting. Just two 250 watt 14k bulbs and night light. I did the best I could with the dslr. Flash was not used

I do not understand the disc question.

The oral disc is the main part of the anemone -- where the tentacles are attached. The underside of it will have some "bumps" (( Verrucaes )), they should be fairly easy to see if it is a Gig.
