new carpet anemone

I just purchased carpet anemone, should i put it on the rocks or sand?

It looked white at LFS, but in my tank it has a very light yellowish green color to it.

Color doesn't tell me much about what species it is -- though it does sound (( a bit )) bleached.

Any way to get a picture?

But, for the time being I would just put it on the sandbed and sees what happens -- but an ID will be helpful, since the care is different.

Yeah, it does sound kinda bleached. Anyways, it doesn't matter where you place it, it will move to wherever it wants to go. If it is bleached, make sure you feed it everyday, until it get's it's color back.

If its green, it couldbe a haddoni. Is the color bright or faded?
