New Carpet Anemone

I bought a new carpet anemone. I tried to feed him a silver side the first night. The silverside stuck to him for a couple seconds and then seemingly blew off of him. I tried two more times and the same thing happened.

Does this mean he's not hungry? Should I aim for his mouth?

What kind of carpet? How long have you had the carpet and how long has your tank been set up?

About 8 months ago I got a blue Haddoni carpet, within 24 hours it was completely settled and was eating.

same thing happened to me today, i just bought a new carpet and the food just blew off him. dont worry about.

Toddtrtrex-my tank is over 2.5 years old. Not exactly sure on the type of carpet. I was not looking to get one this soon. I happened to stop in a LFS that just got him in from a tank he out grew. They sold him to me cheap just so they didn't have to acclimate him and make room in a tank.

Ahh okay, the reason I am asking is that there are different care levels for them.

Haddonis are a lot more forgiving then a gigantea.
