Bought this beautiful gigantic carpet yesterday and my clowns were in it within 5 minutes. It was very exciting for the wife and I as our clowns have not previously been in anemones. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure!

A question for you all as well:

I have three BTAs which are on the opposite end of my 150 as the carpet-- will they cause problems with my new carpet? I'm hoping I don't need to look for a new home for them but I will if it is going to cause chemical warfare. I haven't noticed any stress on any of them since I put the gigantic anemone in yesterday.

Just keep an eye on all of the anemones. Look for sighns of stress. Do you run carbon? Nice gigantea btw

I'd remove the bubble tips if you can. I would see this being a problem down the road if you don't. You're perculas will darken up nicely for you with the new addition. Nice anemone.

Great nem! Looks like you may have 1 percula and 1 ocellaris though. They usually pair up with little problems. Good luck with that monster!

Funny you should mention that, I am pretty sure you are correct about the clowns. I was pretty sure that was the case with the clowns, one has pure black eyes and the other does not, also very little black on one and alot more on the other. They seem to be bonded pretty well at this point, will they mate in the future even though they are different?

Don't get mad at me if I say this :)

Watch your light levels. Giganteae need really bright light. Your tank does not look like a brightly lit tank, and your anemone is down on the sand. All of your other LPS and zoos are medium/low intensity light inverts.

It is a great looking anemone! Under bright lighting it can get quite large with no supplemental feeding.

No worries :) ,

I am currently running t5's, I have 4 x48 in the back of the tank, I went with 48 inches back there due to the double over flows, I figured no need to light the over flows. In front I am running two 36 in x 6 fixtures.
Basically 10 deep t5's so roughly 700 watts of t5's. I hope thats more then enough. I turn off some lights for taking pictures.

its beautiful your fish look happy in that huge anemone.... I'll wait a few more months before getting one :)
