New Chalice Questions

I picked up a Red Chalice at a club raffle yesterday and was wondering what is the best way to feed and when to feed.

I know that they feed at night but do I wait until I see the sweeper tentacles to feed or what. It is the only SPS in my tank for now and I am assuming I will have to spot feed it since it makes no sense to feed my whole tank at night.

Also I have set the frag on my substrate about 24" below my 2 - 250 W MH's. In your opinion is that too cloce or too far from the light.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

As long as you have fish in tank and feed them, you do not have to feed echinos. I have several frags in a sps tank for 4 months and they really have long sweepers, about 3/4 to a 1 inch that come out in complete darkness. Interesting to look at!

Aren't Chalices and Echinos an LPS coral? Just FYI

I have a couple and I never feed them directly. They have grown like crazy too.
