Last week our LFS told us they were expecting some black and white occell.'s, so today (came in Monday, but they've been closed until today) I was there 1/2 hour after they opened to check them out
Long story short - he's holding a pair for me
This will give me time to watch them a little more and make sure the QT is ready for them.
This is a stupid question, but care shouldn't be any different for these than for the orange and white occell.'s correct - they're the same fish, just different color morphs?
Need help with terminology - is there a shorter name for b&w occell? How about b&w percs? (so I can contrast the two)
What would be the best way to tell a bw perc from a bw occell?
Just so I can double check
Right now they're kind of a muddy color, but they darken with age, right?
Between the occell.'s and the percs (black ones of course) do they both keep kind of orange faces? I think I've seen some that are all black and some that have some orange to their faces.
I know I've read different things about them, but I can't remember where
I think we might head back tonight so my husband can see them too, I may take some pics
I'm confused and excited all at the same time
I want to make sure I have everything straight. We have a rose that's been in our tank for almost 6 weeks that I'm hoping these guys will take to, there aren't too many other wavy things in there to distract them. I've been planning this combination for over a year, and I'm very excited to see it finally happening
I know there's no guarantee these will host the rose, but hopefully they'll at least swim by it so I can see the color combination I've been waiting for
Anyone want to pass on some info and/or celebrate with me??
Thanks!
