New duncan

This is one of the Duncan colonies I am recovering from light shock. Eats like crazy, and is slowly gaining color. Look carefully and you can tell how it is more open during the night in almost total darkness.

During the daytime

I just got my first Duncan last week. I am glad I waited, the price was a 1/4 of when they started. I like that white Duncan though. Mine is an ORA.

So this thread got me all excited, and I just ordered the last frag of Duncanopsamia Axifuga from Fraggle Reef. I pick it up saturday. I am so excited!

Hey guys keep seeing references to ORA's, ROE's and DFS - what the difference or is it just a TLA (three letter abbreviation) ?
You tell me. :)
Roes on the left and ORA on the right.

I think saying "Roes" duncan means more than only duncans that came from roesmarineworld. It includes all of the newer wild collected duncans, pretty much all that aren't ORA or DFS. Roes was just among the first to get the newly imported duncans. In the pic above I did in fact get it from Roes.

I also have a couple Aussies - and this one I got before all the Aussies came in. It grows in a totally different pattern, and the tentacles are longer than the entire head of my Aussies. It looks more like an elegance or even euphillia. They are actually almost twice as long as these pix

And they don't branch out

Ah ok - the puzzle is solved, cheers for that
