New equipment/foam stabilty

I just installed a new sea swirl and about 10 feet of clear vinyl tubing, and now my protein skimmer doesnt maintain a head. Im guessing that it is beause of the oils or whatever on the sea swirl and tubing, but my question is, how long will this persist? It is currently day 3 and there is still no foam. Should I just wait it out or pull it all apart and do something? Any thoughts on how to correct this are greatly appreciated.

3 days, what kind of skimmer is it? Have you tried turning it off and back on again?n sometimes the oils will concentrate themselves at the top of the foam head, turning off the skimmer allows them to mix back into the water-column where they can be removed at a steady rate without supersaturating the reaction chamber.

the skimmers been running for 9 months, the sea swirl and new tubing have been on for 3 days. I left it off for the past 5 hours, and just turned it back on, we'll see if it does anything.
