Here is a picture of our new EuroReef RC1000 that we just received last night and got hooked up today. This is one mammorth of a skimmer that produces A LOT OF FOAM!

That is a EuroReef CS5-2 (old model, now the CS80) setting next to it in the first picture.

This is about 5 mins after we started running water through it.

That are AWESOME!!:eek1: Sign me up for two of them! LOL

I actually did order 2 of these about a month ago and they are waiting for me at Premium Aquatics to be picked up! They will be on my new 1000 gallon system. Jeremy and I set up the one in the picture above today at his shop. It is actually cooler (more awesome, if that makes since) in person! This skimmer rocks, we have it hooked up to a internal 2200 gph pump that is valved down. The skimmer is on there main SPS, clam, w/ some fish tanks. I am hoping Jeremy posts a few pictures tomorrow when the collection cup starts filling-up!!

bstone - HOLY CRAP!! two of these...and a 1000gallon system???!!! you have a thread on that?

Jeremy better post more pics!! or we'll all be ****ed!

Hey Lunch, this is a 650gal system this is on here, with mainly sps/clams, and a few fish/anemones. I have a Mag2400 feeding it right now (that was the only thing laying around, didnt want to pop open a new pump yet and was anxious). The Mag24 is throttled almost half way back, I would guess around 1400-1500gph right now.

We got it hooked up at about 5:15, and when I left at 7:00pm this evening the foam had just started to reach the lid up top. I will get some pics when I go in first thing in the morning and upload them.

We have an MTC HSA 3000 running about 10' away from this skimmer that is a dual beckett powered by an Iwaki 100, and I can honestly say that I think this EuroReef would give that skimmer a really good run for it's money, it would be close!

wow- How much would one of those set you back?

This particular skimmer retails for $2398 the way it sits.

The RC1000 falls right inbetween the Deltec AP1004 ($3665 Retail) and AP1006 ($6619 Retail). The RC1000 pulls 3600 Liters Per Hour of Air while the AP1004 pulls 3000 Liters Per Hour. The AP1006 pulls 4500 Liters Per Hour.

Not really- My tube supplier is working out a couple of bugs in his cast molds- Apparently there's a slight imperfection on the inner wall of the 12" and 10" molds (they just bought new ones) so I had to wait a little bit to get them so it would have been a slow thread. They should be here any day now so I'll be doing one soon. I'm working on a CNC routed style twist neck as well so that just adds time to the pile :-) BTW, Thanks for being the fastest, most reliable online vendor I've come across yet- I use you guys for everything I buy online unless you don't stock it...

Jeremy - thanks man! can't wait to see pics tomorrow! wow nice price for the size and LPH of air it sucks in!!! hope ER give them deltec users something to talk about :D

bstone- thanks fo the thread...something to drool over now :D

I would say we were a little more then anxious to set up the skimmer. We were like little giddy kids opening up a BIG present from Santa on Christmas Day!

did you need a change of pants?? i would have :D

Yep, Jeremy had it all put together and on the desk just as you walk into the shop. He did that so that it would be the first thing I saw when I walked in. I just about had to change my pants when I first saw it. Everyone there was laughing at me because I had this huge smile on my face that I couldn't get rid of all evening! :D

he touched it before you did...oh i'd have beat him for that :D LOL probably not as it would have saved time for me tearing the boxes apart.

LOL like a kid in a candy store.

well i checked my bulk email folder and found the taking email for my RC80 custom....guess i did get a tracking email after all. here i was waiting for aday thinking i didn't get one :( not that you care but i'm gonna be happy to see my baby sized skimmer :D
