New filter sock..Grrrrr!

I wash them with bleach in the washing machine with a double rinse. They get much cleaner than with using the hose, IMO. Somehow even with a powerful hose, the pores in the socks don't get that clean.

I air dry them, then rinse again before putting into the tank.

I wash the husband's clothes (not mine) in the following load. So, if there's any icky residue, it's on his clothes :lol:

no, but it does appear tho wear the sock near the plastic a little faster. but after a few years, replace them
