New fish store in Jackson.

We Jacksonians are so excited. Owner Dave Coles, who owned the store in Humboldt with the same name, is opening again in Jackson.


I would like to announce the opening of Below Sea Level in Jackson.

We will be an aquatic only store, carrying over 1100 gallons of saltwater fish, inverts, live rock and corals as well as a "specialty" freshwater section of over 600 gallons.
Of course we will be carrying all the necessary supplies for all things aquatic including a large live, fresh and frozen food section.

We will be located in the same strip mall as Tropical Fishland was, 566 Carriage House Drive and will be open 6 days a week. This is only about a half mile off I-40 for you out of towners!

The store will be backed by it's own offsite 250+ tank hatchery and holding facility nearby.

The next club meeting will take place at this store on June 23rd. (Exact time soon to be announced). This will be your chance to be one of the first to see the store in a special "sneak peek" weekend before we officially open the following week. (exact open date to be announced soon).

Sweet! I may take this chance to join the club since I:

1: Moved to Dyersburg from Missouri.
2: Setup a Rimless 36x18x16.

We really need another good LFS and it's much closer to Jackson than it is to Memphis. Driving down 51 is just murderous.....lol.

So excited to hear of another store opening close to home...as Dormer said...memphis is such a long drive and it seems things are overpriced there and I'm in Jackson more often than Memphis...this is awesome...

So did the new store open? ive been trying to look up a phone number and info on this new store all day and cant find any info? i live over an hour away and would like to know if they are open and store hours before coming? can anyone help me out on this?

if they are open,,,do they have a good selection of saltwater fish?

Yesterday July 6th was the opening day. We went last night and he has a good selection of saltwater fish and corals. They are just getting started so it will take a little while to get everything stocked and priced im sure. I believe their hours are:

monday 12-4
Tues-Thurs 10-6
Friday and Sat 10-7

566 Carriage House Drive..Its the shopping center right past Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant on the right, through the red light. HTH

I drove by tonight to check it out and it is open and those hours look right. I'll be dropping by next week to see what they have. I'm glad we have another local store to support.

I stopped in yesterday and it looks like they are going to have a really nice setup once they get their inventory up. They were also extremely personable and helpful and I'll be going back in once everything is up and running. I go in a lot of stores and get pretty well ignored, so it's always nice when someone greets you when you walk in the door and checks back in on you.
