New Frogspawn, advice needed.

I picked up this octo Frogspawn from my lfs yesterday and when it first opened up the polyp extension was really nice. 24 hours later it seems to have receded a bit, anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what could be fixed?

I will give it a couple of days to settle in to it's new environment. What are your parameter? Alk, Ca, Mg? What type of lights are you using?

I am running the current marine orbit LEDs with whites at 75% blues at 100%
the parameters are
pH 8.3
Phosphate 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Calcium 450
The coral looked better now less of the skeleton was showing.

That's a lot of white light, make sure it's in the shade to slowly acclimate to your lighting since if it gets burned it'll take a while to come back.

Okay I adjusted the lights to the coral acclimation mode hopefully by slowly raising it will minimize the receding. Thanks for the help.

Personally I'd keep it in the shade until it's looking better and opened up, until then moving it into any more light will probably do more harm than good.

First off thank you guys for the help. My fault for not mentioning that coral acclimation mode on my lights drops the whites to 50% and blues to 75% and shortens the time they are on full time to 6 hours a day. Thanks again.
