New Frogspawn not opening fully

I received my new frogspawn last Saturday from LA/DD. It still isn't opening fully and by that I mean the tips are visible but they are not extending much farther than the base. It is in full light and has medium flow on it. Is this normal? If not, what can I do to help it? Thanks in advance!

The coral is on the left front corner of the tank. I have 2 Tunze 6095s which are set to 60% max to 40% min, alternating the max and min between them. I'd say the flow where the coral is sitting about medium.
 
Is there a spot with low flow and low light you can put it for a while? Maybe that'll coax it out and you can slowly move it back.
 
Not really. It's a 75g tank (4' long) so pretty much the same flow throughout the tank. I guess I can turn down the power heads and see if that does the trick.
 
I will bet it is too much flow.

Mine was getting too much flow after I upgraded powerheads in my 90 from 2 1500 GPH korilla's to one korilla and a gyre 130. I had to move it from middle height 12" off the side glass to closer to the front corner and a bit lower. After the move it was fully inflated in 1 hour, before that it was exactally as you describe.
 
What's your SG(salinity) and Phosphate at? I didn't catch it in the above numbers.

Also, how close to the lights is it? Like others have said I have mine in moderate/low lighting but I have had good luck in a variety of flow levels with most Euphyllia.

Have you been dosing NoPox for a while now? I tried it myself but I had issues where it was driving my Nitrate and Phosphate too low.

Are there other corals in the tank? Do you have any pictures?
 
I forgot to mention those, thanks. My salinity is at 1.026 and Phosphates are 0. I've using NoPox for about 8 months and I haven't had any issues with using it. I have noticed my other corals aren't as dark in color as they used to be so I supplement amino acids on Wednesdays which restores the color for them. I'm not able to get a picture right now but I will this evening and post it then.

I appreciate everyone's ideas!

Here are a couple of pics of my Frogspawns and other Euphyllias I have. The whole right side of my tank will eventually be taken over by them.

They are in moderate to low lighting and are in moderate to low flow. One of my Jebao wave makers died a few weeks ago and I have not replaced it. Flow is way down in the tank and the only thing that seems to be a little smaller than usual is my RBTA. Everything else seems to like it. The Frogspawns are actually on the edge of my lights coverage area.

How long has it been in the tank?

Is anybody nipping at it?

My friend had a nice frogspawn that suddenly stopped opening up in his tank. I took it home and dropped it in mine, and after about three days it started to slowly get a little puffier each day. Now, three weeks later, it's looking great!

I suspect he had a fish nipping on the frogspawn.
 
It's been in the tank since Saturday afternoon. It's been this way the whole time. I have not observed anything bothering it. I sat in the room almost all day yesterday did not see a crab or fish bothering it. The tank will be 4 years old this July. Do you think it just needs more adjustment time?
 
It may just need more adjustment time.

Any chance you could move it to a slightly shaded or indirect lighting spot? Did you try tweaking the flow?
 
From the looks of it it's healthy, but looks like there is too much flow that is why the PE is so small. Move your powerheads so there isn't much flow on it. Also they like low light. So low light and low flow are best. Just play with your powerheads to get it low in that area. Then let it acclimate to your tank's parameters.

The flow has been adjusted so we'll wait to see what happens with it today. Lighting is a tough one though as there really isn't any place in the tank that doesn't get the full spread of light. I'm thinking I may need to make an overhang so to speak but I'm not sure... need more rock to do that.

Well, no real change today to speak of but it did look like it was a tiny bit more open. I slowed the power heads more and moved it just a tad to block flow from hitting it. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Is that the "large stalk" frogspawn they have listed on their site? i know they mentioned the large stalk is harder to take care of than the normal sized stalk frogspawn. If this is true or not, i have no idea
