New Geo Reactor

I've been running my reactor since Sunday. Here is my water parameters tonight:

BPM =30
Drip rate = 50 ml
Effluent ph=6.8
Tank ph = 8.0
Alk=13.9dKH
Cal=490ppm

I'm concerned about the alk and the Calcium

Another note. My regulator is about 30 psi, and I put 8# of ARM in the reactor as the instructions called for but it's about an 1" above the level it's supposed to be. I don't know these points make any difference or not.

The manufacturer(Geo) is not responding to my emails about this.

Should I make any adjustments to lower the Alk and Calcium?

Your numbers are very good in ratio to one another, you just need to drop them a bit. You can do this by decreasing bubble rate to about 20 bubbles / min and reducing your effluent to about 40ml / min.

Keep in mind to consistently test for a while until you get it dialed in right exactly where you need it.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Jeremy
