New Gig health question

Humongous

New member
I brought this Gig home 1 week ago after watching it at the LFS for a week. It is my first Gig so I wanted to get feedback from the community. How does it look? It hasn't expelled any zoox and has only marginally deflated but no cycles of inflation/deflation noticed. It is in an established frag tank that is an isolated system from the display. I hope this attached link to a quick video works.

I am going to order Cipro just in case.

Looks good. Just keep an eye on it for deflation or dead zoox -- sounds like you know what to look out for. Good luck!

Orion I have always trusted your advice , this is a new gig probably just arrived from its home in the wild . Woulden't you let it settle in for a few days or so that the tenticles fill in more and the mouth close up a little. Why more flow from the get go. This is not a attack on you or dnak . Please give a reason for more flow .
Thanks Greg

Greg,
If more flow is stressful for them, then you have a point. However, I think it is healthier for them to have more flow. At least when I have new stressed out Gig, flow always do them good. I usually block them in so they attach, once they attached, I increase flow. IME, they always look better with increased flow.
If they are in such bad shape where they cannot or will not attached, I block them in with egg crate so they won't get chew up by the PH. I do use a small Vortech for flow in Hospital tank so I can adjust flow very easy for me.
