New Green BTA

I just got a green Entacmaea quadricolor today. I've been looking for one for a while, and the local fish store finally had a healthy looking one that I couldn't turn down. It hosted my tomato clown after only an hour or two. I'm wondering if you guys think the anemone will do alright, or if the clown is too big for the anemone?

I put in the tank early this afternoon and it hasn't moved once from where I put it, and he seems rather happy.

here's a picture I took an hour or so after the clown got in there.

wow, that thing is tiny.... very nice looking, but tiny. I hope tomato's aren't like maroons with there anemones.

Nice GBTA though.

my tomato clowns are actually pretty delicate with there anemones, but do tend to dive in on occassion. I think your nem will be fine.

My tomato was getting pretty rough with this guy so I made a little cage to put over it real quick out of a lunch meat container thing. It has big vents in all the sides so it gets good water flow and everything.

How long should I keep the clown away from the anemone? The anemone moved a little bit over night, and I assume it was just fleeeing from my clown's abuse, or maybe it was still just looking for a good spot. Do you think I should keep the anemone in a cage for a few days, or is this behavior with the clown normal and non-harmful?

Also, how sticky are BTA's, because this one doesn't seem to like to eat at all yet (granted it has only been one day). My condy ripps food out of my hand. Maybe the clown will help so he gets food?

Give it a few days before feeding it. He needs to settle in to your tank and lighting. It was a good idea to kee the clown away for now. I would say a week or two so the nem can really acclimate and settle in. Then it should be o.k. to uncover him. I have a pair of tomato clowns and they were really rough on my RBTA'S when first introduced. I moved them clowns to a quaratine tank for a week and then allowed them back. Worked out good for me.

Good Luck and nice looking little BTA by the way.......
