New H. magnifica (Ritteri)

What?
My almost week old H. magnifica (Ritteri). Doing very good so far, have him low in the tank while he acclimates to the lights, might move him up tomorrow but seems happy where he is so maybe not. Woke up this morning to my lta snuggled right up to it, but seems to be fine, keeping watch though just in case.

Oh lol, and you can see my little carpet decided to move under it, I'm resigned to him wandering till he finds a good spot for now.

Very nice. My mag loves flow. He sits on a rock 8" in front of my mp40 up at the top of my tank under 800w metal halides. GL

Doing great, mouth closed, sticky, and ate a piece of shrimp today. I only feed them when I add a new nem, which isn't very often.

Lol one hour out of QT and my blk and white clowns jumped right in, didn't even look at the other nems.

Funny isn't it - just speaks to the benefit of having a natural host. I've had clowns that 'sort of' viewed a BTA as acceptable host (sometimes in, sometimes not) but when presented with a magnifica it took a few minutes for them to find it and never leave.

For some reason, the picture is missing from my last post .....

This is about as far as my clowns venture from the anemone.

Clown fish will sometime accept non natural host, but there is nothing like the interaction between the clownfish and their natural hosts.

Ya, so far they just shoot out snatch food and right back in lol. They were buddy buddy with the little 1and a 1/2 inch atlantic blue tang in qt. They won't let him get close to their nem now lol, poor little guy gets chased off, to funny.

I've noticed that some clowns (true perculas in my case) will initially spend more time than usual in and around their new anemone. After about a week it's all back to normal and they start venturing out more again.
