Ok I am interested in getting an octopus i have a 30gallon tank cube shaped. Is that big enough or should i use my bigger tank? What can I house with an octopus and does anyone have any links to info? Need all the help I can get.

A 30 gal. is fine for a pigmy octo or some of the smaller sp. Not big enough for a bimac, Which is usually the most popular(you would be able to interact with a bimac better than most other sp.).
What kind of filtration do you have/ plan on using?
yeah... www.tonmo.com is a good site. i recommend, for a bimac, at least 55 gallons, though the bigger the better. like ray said though, if you can find a pygmy, you could put one in your 30. they're pretty hard to find though. bimaculoides and vulgaris are the two most commonly seen in pet stores. beware, vulgaris (usually labled as the common octopus) get bigger than bimacs, which means bigger tank!
Well I also have a 50 gal that I am not using and need to put to use. What would be the best filtration to use? I am not good at the whole sump thing so is there something i can do besides that?
