New Hawaii order thread

I would buy fish from petsmart if they had them. I went to the one on youngsfield last night to buy a tiny powerhead and the fw tanks were spotless, the fish looked healthy, and the staff was nice.

I stopped by petco on the way but they had some walmart brand pumps for $30, no tubing, the tanks were covered in algae, nobody in sight, 15 clownfish, a $65 flame angel with ich, and a yellow tang that is soon to be rotting alive. What a joke. DO NOT WANT
 
sigh....well looks like we will not be getting an order direct from Alex. The LFS both here in Colorado and other states as well, have ****ed and moaned until he buckled. All is not 100% lost yet though. I will be contacting the LFS to see if they will honor Alexs pricing, and I am also talking to another shop to work the deal through them....rest assured I will do everything to maintain my integrity with the group that comitted to this order. Oh yea and I will be sure to post who is screwing with our Christmas list wish!!! Give me acouple more days guys
 
Thanks for all your hard work with this. Sometimes there's just no getting around politics...... Since I didn't get my christmas presents, my last Christmas wish would be to know who the grinch is..........

Do tell, I want to ensure my money never enters his store.

Last I checked alex was found via a hobbiest...... did a local fish store pick him up after that? I havent ever seen the ones around denver stocking many fish that looked like the ones we got from alex. I guess it wasn't enough for us to pay more..... Thanks for your work.

TBH, I think the person responsible deserves an IP block from RC. They have strict rules about commercial interest. If any, this is the most gross form I have ever seen on a public forum.

A LFS drove our prices up, then an LFS cancelled our order via this forum. Brings a new meaning to Internet Gangster.

I would not "deal" with the store to get the prices that were quoted. Screw them as well as Alex for letting a LFS cause him to back out on a deal HE already committed to. This has been the most drama filled, drug out order I have seen here.
 
like I said, lets hold onto our hats. I have a verbal ok that the order will be done through another shop with a different diver. I need to get our stuff to him today and I forgot to take it. I will get it to him though and I think we will do all right after all is said and done
 
This is what was sent in an email to roadracn. I am sorry that the order is not going to go through but it is totally false that this was stopped by "politics". The said retailer had made no stink about this, not anymore than every other supplier up and down the chain of custody, nationally. NOBODY stopped this order but my stupid self for falling asleep at the wheel and taking out a rock wall with my one ton pick up truck. I had made arangements to ship your guys order along with the retailers so that I could gain him as a client. He agreed to it although it ment more confusion for him. I am out of business now, read the email below and figure out what you need to.

Sorry I have been slow on the reply, I have been seeking new employment and running around like crazy. Not sure when I last talked with you but I have not been able to fully recover from my accident in December. My work ability is temporarily limited due to some damages to my back and knees, not to mention the truck I use to pull my boat is gone. I am basically selling every part of my business to a friend/competeitor here on the island. I have transfered all my clients to him and told him about our arrangement but he has a strict wholesale only policy, in fact he is one of the many that advised me not to go through with it. I wish I could do more but I am severly limited and forced to temporarily change my occupation. Catching fish does not provide medical care. This has been a great ordeal for the both of us and I hope you can work something out with said retailer, as he is going to be transfered to the supplier who is taking over my business.

Funny, but when I talked to the LFS today that wasnt his story, he admitted to the ultimatum that he gave you and it absolutley was politics that stopped this order. Lack of communication was only part of it and I don't have time to type all that I now know. Look for it later tonight.

As far as the people that have ordered, I have talked with a LFS here in Denver, and told them whats up. He has our complete list, and is working on complete fulfillment, with the pricing as it was discussed. I didn't ask him if it was ok to post the shop name or not, so for right now I won't. Looking like fishes as early as next week, will keep everyone informed, pm or post any questions
