...are covered in specific forums, eg Fish Disease (I know, ooky, but everyone should familiarize themselves with the look of these, so you don't buy a sick fish.)
There are forums on Reef Fish, a good place to learn about your prospective fish, and what (or whom) it eats.

There are forums on coral types, from shrooms to softies to stonies, and their various subdivisions.

You don't have to be an expert to go there. And they are more apt to be able to tell you what to do about an upset anemone or a fish that's actiing oddly.

The accumulated experience on these forums is in the centuries, so your chances of getting a right and sane answer are high.

The more you can learn to buy healthy fish in the first place the MUCH less trouble you will have in your tanks. You also need to learn plumbing---ie, take a look in your fish store to see how the pipes run and what tanks share a common sump. If you aren't buying fish from tank A because you saw ich, or distended gills, but you buy something from tank F, not realizing that A,B,C,D,E,and F all have a common sump---or that the net used in B gets shared across the row with tanks G,H,I, and J, ---you can buy yourself a very expensive problem. Hang around, watch whether store employees follow good practices (don't share nets, etc,) and save some headaches.

Sage advice for sure, all my local stores are just crawling with aptasia, pom pom hydras & every kind of creepy crawly there is, if it wasn't for the fact they dose heavily with copper im sure all the fish would be sick immediatly,................their corals all one can do is look, dip, quarrantine & pray.
