Some one buy this and tell us how it works

Nice avitar!

I need flow for my 90, and can't wait till all these get some more reviews so i can make my decision!

So geckofrog... you got all versions? Do you feel that gph ratings are fair or accurate?

For some reason only koralia 1 and 2 show up, but koralia 3 always gets cut off. Anyways, thanks for the vids. Hopefully mine will show up tomorrow and I get to play with them as well!

Cheers,
John H.

I guess I am the second on here to use these powerheads. They just arrived from Doc Fosters and are in my tank. The took the place of 2 Aquaclear 70's with those huge frickin filters. Although "big" they do not look bad in my tank. I have two of the 4's

Pros:
cost
prop design
large h20 movement
Can adjust direction very easy
low watts

Cons:
Cheaply made
front is open. If run on "wave maker" fish could end up in the blades during pause.
Magnets very weak. I have a 120 and they barely hold.

Only time will tell. I will write in a few days after having them a bit longer. The "loud start up sound is really nothing. Again with any sort of wave maker/timer I would be nervous as the front is wide open....

So the magnets hardly hold on your 120 huh? I'm intersted to hear more about this....

With open front end, could you place a screen like the one used on the AGA overflow mods (if you know whatt I'm talking about :) ) to help out here?

The major feature that interests me on these pumps is the adjustability. On a scale from 1-10, how would you rate it?

I don't think they will fall but any glass thicker i would probably worry abit.

Maaybe but the shape is like a torpedo so forming something might be a pain.

10 but will be interested to see how long they hold their tension. They rotate around on a ball socket but there is no way to tighten. Probably won't be an issue but again just a thought.

Definitely can't wait to get two of the 4s. Just one more day! Maybe I can take one of the eductors offline. They are too much for my tiny 60 gallon cube. :)

Thanks for the quick synopis horstman!

Well, I'm kind of there and kind of not... I'm a bit of a 4th year med student/nomad. I was only there for a few months for my 4th year and I've been spending a lot of time in NC and some time in the Richmond area.

I do have to go back for a few more rotations in the upcoming months. C'ville is a great place though to live and raise the kids. Don't have any kids, but that's what I hear. Hehe

When where you there horstman?

Peace,
John H.

File fixed.

I am not having any problems with the 4's being able to hold with the magnet.

I am not either. I said that if I was running thicker glass I would be abit concerned. You are also
using them on a 75 which has thinner glass then a 120....

Great video. Thank you.

I can not get the video to play. Are there any reviews of the actual performance? Comparisons to comperable alternatives?
