My tank is actually 6 feet long, only reason I was thinking back by the oveflows as opposed to facing each other was to keep the wires more hidden.
Was kind og leaning towards the K3
s just to be safe.
My 125g is also 6 ft long... I have 1 in each
front corner, and the 3rd unit in the middle, on the back glass... I put the 2 end ones on the side glass, in front, pointing diagonally to the opposite end rear corner.
In my case, I have a 3/4" plenum setup with 3" coarser-grained aragonite, then screening, then 2" sugar-grained oolitic sand on top... originally, with all 3 units on the rear glass, pointing diagonally forward, the Koralia's kept rearranging the sugar-grained oolite in the front of the tank, forming "dunes" in some spots, "blowing" down all the way to the screening in others. It wasn't a "blizzard" of sand; rather, I would have the sand the way I wanted it, but by the next morning the tank was crystal clear - but the sand was all rearranged... Placing the 2 end Koralias pointing to the back glass allows the flow to be broken up and redirected by the LR along the back of the tank, preventing too much rearranging of the sand...
Even though you don't have any hard corals now, I would still go with the #4s as you may want the extra flow in the future. I have a clam midway between 2 of the Koralias (they don't like high flow, either) and it seems quite "happy" there, out of the main flow areas...
P.S. - even with the 2 Koralias neear the front glass, wiring doesn't show much at all, and the units themselves don't distract from the look of the tank at all... I wouldn't worry about that
