new kid on the block

No idea regarding shrimp but I think all hawkfish pose some sort of risk. From what I've read, if the shrimp is established before the hawkfish, you have a better chance the relationship will work.

RE: QT -- The tank has been fallow about 6-7 weeks now but I've added some frags directly to the tank during this time. I'm taking a vacation in May/June so I'll likely treat with prazi pro twice in the next few weeks and have them ready to go when I get back. I'll likely wait til the end of the June to start adding fish back in.

Off topic, I just got my 1st monti cap and i hope it turns out like yours ^.^
At 1st I didnt like hawkfish but now that i have seen them in person they look so cute, one at the lfs would always change perches to look at me while I was walking around the tank.

This is the colony that came from. I put some green and purple in with it a bit back, it's growing together nicely.

that monti started out as two pieces smaller than quarters. they have grown together and are spreading out nicely.

hawkfish have tons of personality! they are always the first ones front and center when i get close to the tank. they will take tiny pieces of shrimp from my fingers. i've been trying for days to get a picture of them perched together but it's impossible because they won't stay put when they see me coming!

i would like to file a petition to adopt some of the green and purple ones. :)

i would give them a good home and feed them and pet them and love them. i would even name them george. :)
