I just received a couple of female rhomboids to keep my male happy , hopefully....
So far he hasn't been too interested, but he does know they are in there.

She's psychotic. I've had her for 7 yrs and she still wedges herself in the rocks to sleep.
Crazy as a 3 dollar bill. LOL

Bradley- Do you find any changes in agression between the single male wrasse vs a male with females? It seems most of your wrasses in the photos are males of different species. I was just curious to their behavior. Thanks for sharing your new fish they look pretty sweet!

So far there hasn't been any change. I do have mainly males of about 12 -15 different cirrhilabrus species . For the most part, they get along. There are always chases going on, but rarely is there a knockdown dragout fight. (knock on wood)

Lovely additions, Bradley. I wonder if having females will change the behavior/aggression of the male.

PS - Sweet acclimatainer! :D

Peter, that's exactly what I was thinking. Like a bunch of guys at a bar and a few ladies come in. Bradly, let us know how it goes. I'm sure they all get plenty to eat so that should take care of most common issues.

Nothing is better than a supermale rhomboid in the presence of females. When they flash.....ooohhhhh.....prepare to have your socks knocked off.

That's what I'm hopeing for...:inlove:

Peter, I'll keep everyone posted on any changes in behavior.
You like that box dont you. A friend had a friend make it for me.:lol2:

I did get her a girlfriend last week, but only one.

He will just have to make it work for now. LOL

You love those wrasses! Your tank is so awesome. And I know that hippo is healthy and all but if only he knew we don't like the way he looks when he mutilates himself! Great stuff, keep it up.

I do love these fish. It's pure pleasure watching these guys grow and thrive.

I took a few more pictures tonight, a few closeups that turned out nice.

Sweet additions Bradley - as per usual.
Nearly completed the post holocaust rebuild on my tank. I hope it starts looking as good as yours in 10 years time!

LOL I'm sure you will have it looking great again in no time. :)It's really nice to have an established tank that's doing well. But setting one up and invisioning the way you want it to end up is most of the fun. Xmas morning everyday.:)

I have to add a couple more, I almost forgot about my favorite guy.
And a couple more.
My Regal Angel which I've had for 3 years now.

how do you tell male from females on the rhomboids?

the two in your acclimation container look like a male and a female pair..
