New Leemar 237 gallon is finally home

I had a close call with my purple tang transferring him over. His dorsal fins got caught in the net and it took me nearly 40 minutes to cut him free. Needless to say he made it and is a happy camper now.
Now to start loading up on corals

Congrats. Now all the lights are up they make the tank more 3D effect.

Thank you! I'm pretty happy with how its coming along. I just got a little scare when transferring over the Purple Tang. I've had him nearly 8 years and would hate to have lost him trying to give him a bigger home.

Very nice, really like the rock work. May I ask what kind of skimmer is that looks like a beast in the picture? Mike

Thank again guys. The skimmer is a Super Reef Octopus 3000. I love the way it performs. I had a Aquamaxx on my 110 gallon for about 5 years and also like that one but I feel this one performs just a little bit better. No complaints

Hey, question on the "dry" rock. Did you cure it? I'm going with all Pukani in mine and there are a bunch of threads regarding cooking it before introducing it to established tanks.

Since I'll be starting fresh like you, wondering if that's necessary, or just cook it in the tank until phosphate levels are low enough before introducing anything. Curious how you did yours.

I did not cook it prior to putting in the tank and haven't had any issues thus far. Just the normal cycle.

I can't wait to see this tank develop more, and really enjoy this build! Fantastic build

Thank you very much. It's not much compared to some of the builds I see on here but she's mine all mine. Now the fun of stocking it and waiting for things to grow.
