New LTA Acclimating! Where should I start him/her!?

My LTA seems to like medium light /flow best, and definitely sand.
When I first got it my light was weak PC's, and it went high on rocks, but when I upped light it went straight for sand and has stayed there about 5yrs since.
I made a shallow cave area so it can tuck in or out, as it likes for light/flow, it's definitely more sensitive than my sebae, which takes all the light it can get.

Well it's moving VERY slowly but has part of it's foot in the sand already. So I am guessing later tonight it will bury its foot there. Later this week I'm gonna put the MH in anyway tho. The 2 PC's are right above the water so it is pretty bright for a small tank. I made my hood pretty high so the MH will be about 12" from the water. And I found a brand new reflector in my garage. :)

I also moved a large rock above it to keep the sand brightly lit with no shadow. This is such a cool nem and my big Clarki loves it. I'm so excited lol!

Well I installed a 250 watt XM 15k bulb and reflector today. I decided to wait 'till friday so I can keep an eye on things 'till monday. The LTA had 1 week to adjust to the PC's. Now it's burning in the sun! So far so good. Funny thing is my BTA went all bubble in less than 15 minutes. I am hoping this is a good sign. Cause it is a "nurse back to heath" one that I got cheap.

Not even gonna use actinics. It's about the perfect color. Looked pretty blue when I tested it. But on the tank it looks very "Oceany" if that is a word. Kinda like the sun... VERY nice.

Gonna keep an eye on stuff for the next couple days and determine an adjusted photo period. The only thing is I didn't put any actinics in to keep the heat down. So it is either ON or OFF. Kinda not used to that but hey something new to try. Wish me luck!

BTW I got the parts I needed to go to a 250 MH from Hellolights. And they were great. Instant shipping and really great packaging. And totally good quality stuff that only took me a few minutes to wire up. Highly recommended. Hate to sound like a commercial but I was impressed.
