New Malu

I found this little H. malu last Monday at a local store and decided to give it a shot:

Out of the bag:

It looked pretty healthy out of the bag but had some minor injury at the bottom of its foot where some mesenterial filaments were coming out.

Placed on a small ceramic dish

it wouldn't attach its foot firmly and easily been blown away. It was only holding itself with its verrucae, but not enough.
So I added some small coral gravel to hold on as ballast. That seemed to work.

So far it hasn't deflated a single time.

I got it just in time to serve as the new home of my horny anemone crabs:

One 25 gallon cube that is so full with corals that I have to stack them now in breeder boxes along the sides. Many of those frags I didn't buy but got for free from the store because they were broken off pieces or odds and ends of them cutting up corals for frags.

Then I have 4 more 10 gallon tanks that are quarantine/holding tanks. This nem is actually in a two liter tank with just a bubbler for now but will go to one of the new percula pairs as soon as I know I don't have to treat them.
And then I have two 20 gallon sterilite boxes full with live rock.

I was supposed to have my new 100 gallon tank by now where all this should have gone into, but it got delayed and delayed and is now scheduled for end of May. I really hope so.

I also have two 20 gallon freshwater tanks of which I would like to convert one to a clownfish/anemone tank. I'm just afraid my wife wouldn't like that because she likes the plants growing out of those tanks.

WOW I figured you had a few. Maybe grow some mangrove's and then use it as saltwater. Then your wife will be happy you have some plants growing out of it :D
