New Members and Introductions

Hi Marsh, welcome to NVR :)
Did you hear about the club from Twins? John is a great guy to deal with, I'm sure you'll be happy with your 90g setup (good size to start with).

LOL. Yeah I noticed that too :)

Speaking of beer, Bryan I found a new Belgian ale for you to try, it's called Blue Moon. Not bad, has a vanilla flavor to it though, it's different.

Hi Barbara and welcome :)

All the way from Ione, how did you hear about NVR?

In my readings I came across the NVR site.
Then as I made the rounds to the LFSs I saw a flyer at Kalypso for the clubs tank tour.
It was past the date, but figured I'd have a look.

Welcome Barbara.

The best place for DIY skimmer plan is probably the DIY forum of Reefcentral. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=3

Instead of DIY have, you thought about the Octopus skimmer? They're fairly cheap and highly raved. You can find them in the low $100. You can check on ebay for them.

Welcome again and enjoy...

Thanks for the welcome from everyone
I found a simple DIY Euro-reef type skimmer plan I want to try...
I'll keep you posted and if that doesn't work I will look into the Octopus.
Thanks,
BA

I just checked the site today and we now have over 100 members... I need to find out who was member #100, we'll have to think of some kind of prize :)

Hi Everyone,

This is Cindy and Bernie. We recently set up a 135 gal reef tank that we purchased from someone who is relocating. We've had a salt water fish only tank in the past, but this is our first reef tank. We just joined NVReefers and are hoping to gain some knowledge from other members.

Welcome aboard guys :)

Sounds like you're diving right in. Buying second hand is the way to go. I recently bought a new (to me) tank too. The club is here to help so don't be afraid to ask any questions.

Just wanted to say Hi! My name is Brian and my wifes name is Shilo. We just joined NVR. We are from the big city of Clements :). Shilo has been at this a while and I myself am just getting started. Shilo has got me to the point of wanting my own tank. Shilo currently has a 65gal reef tank and I am working on setting up a tank for Triggers. We look forward to getting to know all the locals and are glad to be here.

Hi Brian,
You will not be disappointed in the hobby... Fish are wonderful entertainment.
Keep us posted on the Trigger tank.
