new neon green carpet

So I couldn't pass on this neon green carpet. (I've always wanted one and after 3 years of going to varies LFS, I've manage to snag this one up) I'm not sure what type it is, but I think a gig from what I've been reading and looking at pictures on varies thread. This is such a cool site and thanks to all who inputted on this website. I got this like 4 days ago from a LFS. It looks healthy and the colors are very vibrate. However now after I've gone through and read through more and more threads...I'm starting to get worried. I took some photos now just as the lights came on. He is in my sump as I continue to acclimate him. His foot is really strong as it is glue to the tubberwear and the tentacles are extremely sticky but i guess that does not determine its health. It's mouth is somewhat open now but it also closes at times. Please share your thoughts as I monitor its progress from here. All comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.


This is a 7 and 1/2 inch tubberwear and you can see that his foot is dug in tight over the sand.

Looks like a nice anemone. I'm not an expert with ID's but I'm 99% sure it's a haddoni.

What are your parameters? Lighting? Flow?

thx...e.inthec....whats the main difference between the two species...?

He is in a 30 gallon sump with a 210 gallon tank... flow is just what is passing through with a coralife 1100 return pump. i have some maxi jet and korilla pumps on standby..if needed...i checked pars last night and they are all in range. I have a 150 MH watt and 120 LED fixture but want to slowly introduce it since it was under low lighting at LFS for over a week or so. Please let me know if I should try to add or change anything as I want to increase any chances of suvival. I'll snap some pictures later on too since it usually extends its stalk another 2 to 3 inches upwards once the lights are on too.

That is more than likely a haddoni (from column color)... A picture of the verracue would be a positive confirmation.
