New PC Lighting and My First Anemone

Well, earlier this week I finally ditched the old lighting. With some store credit from my less than stellar normal output T5s I plunked down for a Coralife 2x96 PC fixture with lunar LEDs.

Why PC instead of a newer HO T5? The guy I was shopping with said he has run PC and T5 on deep tanks (I have a 65 tall) and commented that he had better success with the PC lighting.

Now before all you T5 fanboys flame me on this, YES I know I had normal output bulbs and YES I know that a Tek w/ individual para reflectors would most likely rock the casbah. Maybe his experience didn't include the uber cool Tek fixture. ;)

Got the light. It rocks. Got the moon light. It rocks even more. I totally underestimated how cool the moon LEDs look.

I also picked up my first anemone today. The store had it on sale for 4.99. It might just be a common condylactis, but I'm still excited.

Don't try and keep any other type of anemones under that light. Especially in that deep tank. Also if you are going to put any other corals in there, condi's are very bad about traveling around the tank stinging everything. If it touches something whatever it is dies. They are cool to start with though, very hardy.
Tank looks real nice ;)

a rose will need more light. however i have seen ppl keep them under pcs but they also feed them twice as much as the anemone needs to make up for the light however i don't think the anemone will stay healthy long term under pcs.
