I am not being cocky at all. What am I being cocky about, the advice I am giving him. I am just striving for bluecarpet to get better lighting and water quality simply. I am apart of many forums so I don't need a warm welcome. In fact, ok I get banned, big deal right? How about I am apart of 8 other forums. Makes no difference to me.

Talk about cocky.....So you decided to flame on your first post real nice....Most folks would be a little more humble. When someone says "I am not trying to sound condescending nor inflammatory" they usually are and do. In your later post on the site you might want to change your attitude or you might find it a difficult place to hang out.

Now on to the topic....If you say it's going into bigger system I can only take you for your word. As it is right now it looks good in the system it's in, will it 2-3 months down the road? Not for me to decide. Just make sure your ready to get brighter lights if you need them....
Azurel i put that vibrantsreature person on my block list, i suggest you do the same. If he does need more lighting i will purchase the K2 viper HQI 70 watt, for the 12 dlx, i have the 24 dlx at a buddies house with the K2 viper HQI 150 watt lighting already for the blue to go into. Then once he outgrows that it will either be the lagoon or a 55 anemone only tank with clowns that i plan on setting up.

There you go. Personally a 55 gallon would do fine for this anemone imo. But some have said theirs have been cramped in their 90 gallon so I am not sure. I am sorry if I came out rude Bluecarpet. Your anemone looks great, honestly but I was just giving out my opinion a little too bluntly. I apologize in my regard. Best of luck.

Any other opinions out there.

I am going to give it to you straight, bluecarpet. I am not known for warm and fuzzy posts on this forum.

I am not flaming you, just trying to prevent others from attempting the same experiment.

1. Your firefish will be eaten by the anemone in about four weeks max.

2. Your anemone will be dead in less than three months in a 12G tank.

Thank you for the info, i know 9 times out of 10 the firefish will die, i was predicting that anyway, but there is a prevention i could put him in another tank. Second i will be sure to show you some pics in 3 months time on how well the anemone is doing. But once again thank you very, very much on your well thought out opinions, they are appreciated.

Nice looking S. haddoni. Not sure I can add to what others have said - it is a tough creature to keep in a small system regardless of lighting and other critters. They are just naturally large inverts. However he looks good atm, so you are certainly doing something right. Strange that he is on your rock pile - they are sand anemones in the wild and typically dig down into the sand. May be a sign that he is looking for brighter light (?)

I am not really sure if he is looking for brighter light, for if he was he would not of put his foot there and kept it there for about 2 weeks. He has plenty of more room to climb up if he wants to, but he just has chosen not too. This is what is leading me to think that he does not want brighter light. But only time will tell, if he starts to move up and up then something has to be done, but for now he seems perfectly happy.

just wanted to know. how hard is your skull?

it seem like i just read a thread like this.. i think i was u. but anyways .. if u ask for what ppl think. they will tell u. and if u dont want to know what they think.. Well dont post it.

im sad. to see such a fine carpet in the hands of someone that,. dose not. listen or learn throw others. but u will have to learn for yourself ,, the hard way.

and what i think .. is that your carpet. is great looking. and i could only hope that it lives for its sake.

But time is on your side.not on the carppets side. u are not the one in a tank , that most would say is way to small.

remenber in not flameing u on. but just voiceing my opinion

and i do think u may not be a newb to saltwater. u do say lots of stuff, that make u look like u dont know what u are talking about.

and if u think im being harsh. , just reand some of the other threads u posted on. and u called ppl out for calling u out..

just stateing the my opinion..

and if u think im being harsh,, it wont hurt my feelings

best of luck for your carppet

Read before posting, the carpet is not going to be in the 12 forever. I have no problem with people's opinions, and thank you for your input.

Bluecarpet, usually people join forums to share experiences and gain knowledge from one another. You posted your currant setup, and asked for opinions and ppls coments. Peaple are trying to help you and give you the correct information on how to care for your nem. Most people are telling you what you are doing is improper care for your nem., they are telling you what you need to do to fix your system to make it suitable for your nem. I dont understand why you refuse to listen to the ppl who are trying to help you. I realize that some ppl are coming across rude and you dont apprieciate that, however they are giving you good advice that will save your nem. you should listen to them.

You already posted about this a week or so ago and the same thing happened. You are either trying to cause arguments or you really just dont realize your equipment for your nem. is insufficient.

I hope for your nems. sake you realize what you are doing is wrong. And please stop telling people you have a lagoon, on your other thread it was already determine this is probably a false statement.

Remember, we are trying to help you.

i agree with johno4
bluecarpet.. you posted this last week and started ALOT of argueements. So you know what people said last week about this.. why did you think it was going to change. people here know how to care for a carpet, know what its supposed to be and and the watts of light in order to keep things alive in the long run. we arent going to change are minds, and be nice this time.
this is what people here think about the carpet. maybe in a couple of months/year post pics of the carpet and show how its doing then.

Did any of you even read this post. If you did, you will know that i know how to take care of my anemone, and am thinking of its long term success. If you have not read this post, oh well. And for people that dont believe i have a lagoon, pictures speak a thousand words.

But, a 24 is still too small too.
Once again, read before posting comments like this, i said i will either put him in my lagoon or i will put him in a 55 by himself with just clowns.

Because what you say seems to change with every passing moment...

I am done with this thread, you seem not to be willing to listen to advise.
