new pics of the garden

How funny, I just realized all this time i thought the yellow zoas that I always like looking at were a certain zoa. But they're not, they're another kind of yellow zoa.

Great Tank and nice photos. I have some sponge like yours, or at least a similar sponge to the one you have and I agree with you about its annoyance.

Seapug,
Nine months ago I suggested that you put up a picture of your zoas. I knew if people saw your tank in a thread, the rest would take care of itself, because your tank is the bomb. :D
And I knew people would agree that it was the bomb if they saw it.

So, it's on this thread that I am SO happy to say:

Hey Seapug and 650, you guys must be smiling from ear to ear. I just think it's great that you both have such an adoring fan. Hey Lilly, can I join the fan club?.......PLEASE !!!!

She's gonna kill me for that for sure....LOL

haha...well in my opinion, this board needs people with Lily's enthusiasm to keep it lively. I'm not just saying that because she likes my tank. It really speaks to what we all find so appealing in this hobby. If it wasn't for that kind of enthusiasm it would be a bunch of threads from people trying to sell stuff and wondering what kind of protein skimmer they should buy or how much vitamin C they should pour in their tank.

But she does need a tank!

Aww, thanks Seapug, that's a nice thing to say.
lol, and regarding a tank for myself.
We did our taxes tonight dudes.
Ahahahahahahahah!!!!!! I'm GETTING a TANK.
Yes folks. A 20-40 gallon is what I talked about tonight.
And I got a "yes" from him. I got a "Yes"!

wow this is one beautiful tank. how much do you think did you spend on all those corals you have? how long do you run your lights on per day?

Thanks. I have no idea how much i've spent. to be honest I'd rather not know. MH are usually on for about 9 hours/day. I just upgraded to a 2 X 250W Maristar fixture (MUCH brighter) so I've cut back the MH to about 5 hours to let everything adjust.

yes, I'll have some more soon.

Along with the lighting upgrade I've done some significant rearranging/pruning of the zoa garden and installed an inline 40 gallon breeder refugium with a Reef Octopus 200XT skimmer. There's a couple blurry pics of the fuge in the Tank of the Month thread. It's made a big difference.

I'll post some better pics of the whole setup once I get it polished up a bit.
