basically what they're saying is,

1) youll lose money on it. If losing money is your idea of fun, send me a check every week or so.
2)Noone will go to buy from you(no offense) everyoen has their favorite store where they can get things how they want, the can see all the behind the scenes stuff, and feel comfortable, isnt the whole reefing hoby about stability?
3)you refuse to come to meetings, so your not active members in the club, but you still want club benefits?

Floyd- We pay the annual fee to the club, and in that sense we participate. And the discounts are an added bonus. If I don't plan on attending the meetings, I don't know how that would offend someone.....nor do I know why you would anger your self with OUR decisions...........

Bottom line is you can't make money on a small scale. Talk to Calfo, he will tell you the same. Your other problem is that ORA and places like that do not sell to the hobbyist, they are wholesale only. Even if you parents pay the electricity it is still a losing proposition. Enjoy the hobby you've only been in it a year, you have plenty more to learn.

Not tyring to be negative here, but in that you have announced that you are starting a business, you should read your RC User Agreement.

That prevents you from listing anything you have for sale here on RC. I believe most other forums are the same (I could be wrong). Where else would you market your corals?

No, the thread would be closed because people are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough to either give or take CONSTRUCTIVE criticism in the proper manner.

Good people skills aren't put in everyone's crib when we are born so, therefore, we must interact with one another and learn to take the good AND the bad and extract what works well for you.

I am so sorry that this has happened (again) and hopefully one day we can all come to a common understanding and get back to what we all came here for..
