you have to to be about 18 years old pretty much evrywhere for almost just about anything same should apply to this forum. age limit enforced over 18 and gainfully employed. IMO. "be gentle"

comon dude, neither Tyler, Christian or I are 18, dont bring the whole "teenage" thing into this

I never actually calculated the added electrical costs attributed to my tank....but my best guess is that the added electrical costs of lighting /heat / pumps would make a prop business unprofitable.
Dr Mac has prop tanks, in basically an attached greenhouse. It might be profitable if you cut out the light bill with sufficient sunlight. And with summer coming up..might not hurt to try. I would be interested in any cost numbers you come up with if you try that.
Don't let all this negative talk or cracks about your age dicourage you. If its something you wanna try, do it.

profits on a business out of the bedroom?? no way, ask Todd or any lfs profits on live stock. most of the money is made in the dry goods. a small scale business would actually be a waste of time and money. no offense, i wish I had business savy at 14, all i did was mow yards. if you try it good luck

Well, Christian IS 18, I'm a senior and 18 in a little, and you...well, you are you. :D

Patrik, you saw my prop setup when you came by...if you have the time and energy to devote yourself to it, go for it. Being a high school student, you shouldn't have the time and energy for a successful operation. I didn't. With Findamentals, just as something good would pop up and we'd get off on the right foot, something would go wrong and set us back. Very frustrating. We had all the right components, you just can't buy or control time. We were mildly successful for two high school kids though...I never sold on here due to the RC rules, but we did push a few corals elsewhere. No real "profits" as the money that came in went straight back to the tank...

RIP Findamentals

rephrase:

comon dude, I'm not 18, tyler's close(but still not 18), and we all can just forget about christian, because hes obviously too cool now, its not about age.
