New Product! Current USA Orbit Marine LED Aquarium Light

I am setting up a new 90 Gallon reef and was interested in using this fixture on it. i am only looking at corals like Frogspawn & Hammer type as well as some Ric's maybe some shrooms, nothing really elaborate. Will this fixture be enough for this? Looking at placing some of the items on the sandbed

Congrats on the new tank! A 90 reef tank would be much too large for one Orbit Marine fixture to handle. You would need 2 fixtures for the type of corals you described with appropriate placement of the corals. If you plan to place corals on the sand bed, you may want to look into something more powerful and can penetrate that 24" depth: like 2 Orbit Marine Pro fixtures or a 43.5" MaxSpect Razor.

So then i would be better off going with a T5 fixture instead? I can't afford like $1,000.00 for lighting right now. what are your suggestions for lighting a 90 gallon reef?

T5 fixtures definitely have significantly lower upfront costs. We would recommend using 6 bulbs for a 90 gallon mixed reef. The cheapest option would be to use a 4-bulb T5 fixture in conjunction with a 2-bulb T5 fixture.

I have two new current orbit pro LEDs in my mixed reef I just set up with alot of LPS. It is 48x24 footprint. The
LED's are 48". Can I consider SPS? I was under the impression I would be able to grow anything with these.

SPS should do just fine with two strips. Depending on how deep your aquarium is, you may want to keep the SPS on the upper half of the aquarium for better growth and color.

Hello! Pretty new to all this, but I've been doing my research. I have a 29g bio cube, havnt started it yet but I have a decent idea of what I want eventually. Would the 18-24" light be good for fish and coral, specifically an anemone? I know they need a lot of light and I've been seeing the stock lighting on a cube is not good. Thanks!

A single Orbit Strip would allow the anemone to survive. Two Orbit LED strips or one Orbit Pro would provide enough light for the anemone to thrive. The stock lighting works well for fish-only and low-light corals.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

Does the led light turn on and off automatically with the timer? Looking for a set it and forget it within a light.

So far, I love the light and been looking at it for sometime now.

Can this light grow a Rose bubble tip anemone?
I have some muchrooms and a chalice coral. I also have two clowns in there.
Its a basic tank breeder, 10 gallon with a 1.5 inch sand bed. what light schedule would you recommend

Hello. I have 2 strips on my 80G tall. If I sync their clocks, by the end of the month they are an hour off. Is this normal, or is there a way to reset them in any way? Or connect/sync the 2 units? What would you suggest?

In a 10 gallon tank, the bubble tip anemone, mushrooms and chalice should be fine with an Orbit.

For the light schedule. We would recommend starting with the M2 Acclimation Mode for a couple of weeks. Once acclimated, then move to the M1 or M3 mode.

It is normal for them to become off but a hour over the course of a month seems excessive. We would recommend checking with Current USA directly. Perhaps one of the controllers is not functioning correctly. Unfortunately, there is not way to sync multiple units.
