New purple haddoni keeps moving to the side glass

I purchased this purple haddoni a few days ago from a fellow reefer who had it almost a year. After about a 30 min drive I got it home and floated it for about 20 mins and then dripped him for about an hour. While he was acclimating I dug up a small area of sand near the bottom of the rock where I placed him after he was done acclimating. I turned off the return pump and rw4 powerhead for about an hour to allow the anemone to settle in and attach. After it looked like it was attached I turned everything back on and the carpet looked great. Since I had it (Friday night) its mouth never opened and it never really deflated which I hear are all the tell tale signs of a sick nem. The only problem I'm having is it seems to like the glass on the side of my aquarium better then the sand bed, I even moved him back to the bottom last night only to find it back in the same spot. Any ideas? The tank is a JBJ 46g cube with an AI hydra 26 LED light. It's been up and running about 4 months. Any ideas? Is this common?

If its getting on the glass im guessing it wants more light

I was thinking the same but wasn't sure. I have the hydra 26 mounted 12" above the water line and the settings are as follows:

Cool white: 40%
Violet 80%
Deep red and green are at 5%
Very deep blue 100%
Royal blue 100%
UV 40%

I just bumped the whites to 70% so I'll see what happens.

Could also be to much flow, they don't like a lot.

Well it moved again this time while I was sleeping and it moved into the powerhead . I'm hoping I caught it in time, it's not shredded but the sides of the carpet are caught inside the grate of the pump. I'm a ******* cause I had made a custom foam cover for the powerhead for when my RBTA was in the tank but I took it off for cleaning and didn't put it back on thinking it wasn't needed as much for carpets. Instead of pulling on it and damaging the nem more I just shut the pump off and placed them on the bottom in the sand so it will detach in its own . It looks to be in one piece still but should I do anything else? Is a water change in order?

It released its self from the power head and so far it looks undamaged, fingers crossed.

I'm almost positive and also that's what the seller said it was. Here is a close up pic from when it was for sale.

what does the underside look like? visible red or orange spots?

No the foot is clear with no spots like gigs have.

You will need those covers until it plants it's foot. And yes, they like low flow.

I have two in my tank, my green one isn't a big fan of excessive light at all, it's got itself tucked into a corner with minimal flow but my purple one has himself dead centre with it's 2 snowflakes in tow where flow is more turbulent and lighting at it's strongest. I found my LED lights were to strong plus I was fighting a dino problem so I have my Evergrow 48" at 25% channel one and only 15% channel 2. Everything but my shrooms are doing great, those things for whatever reason are just bleaching out on me no matter what I do.

Pic update before lights out. It seems to have planted it's foot on the LR just above the sandbed, pump cover is back on and hopefully he doesn't move or float away again.

Well maybe it's not a haddoni, it moved again last night from the sand bed to the top off the rock work. I don't think it's a lighting issue since I have my AI hydra 26 set to 70% white and 100% blue and deep blue. It's still eating and very sticky and the mouth never opens.

some people are firm believers that you cannot house Haddoni / E. Quad's together..

with that being said..

this is just my experience...

I had a green S. Haddoni in a 75g tank, it was a mixed reef, it also housed 2 medium sized RBTA's..
when I introduced the Haddoni is moved all over the tank and never settled in for 2-3 months... almost every morning it was in a different spot..

the day I took out my RBTA's.. my Haddoni never moved again for a 8 months until I decided to get rid of him.

Also with that being said... ive seen RBTA's and Haddonis housed together and both of them settled in just fine. so I feel its a hit or miss thing.

Thanks for the reply and no they are not together, I actually used the RBTA as a partial trade for the carpet so it is the only anemone in the tank. It seems to be settling just on the rock work instead of the sand.
