How soon should he eat? I have had him for about 6 days and he will not eat prime reef. Looks healthy, very full with closed mouth. Shoud I try something else for food or wait?

Try silversides, raw shrimp scallops stuff like that. They like larger meater foods. Mine won't eat anything but silversides

Maybe. Personally, I would try frozen HUFA enriched mysids sold at LFS's and/or small chunks of scallops. Supplement with Cyclopeeze. JMO

Clams from the supermarket believe it or not, might have pests that you don't want in your reef tank, because they are shipped live.
Just feed it shrimp, rinsed of course, and thawed. The suggestions everyone else put forward are also sound.
