Thanks for looking!

There's something about watching the tank now with all the clowns and anemones. I don't think I've ever been as interested in it. Have 9 clowns at the moment and they've all managed to work out a way to live together. Have 3 occellaris, 2 darwin misbars, 1 black occ, 2 phantoms, and a Maine mocha.

Thanks win wood!

All the clowns are Ocellaris. You may want to add a few more. 9 is too few to do well I think. They will mature and start to pick off each other. Adding more will defuse the situation where very few can really establish a true territory.
In groups of Ocellaris in multiple anemones tank, if they are able to establish a territory, you will be in trouble long term, unless they are out of sight from each other.
In my 350 with multiple natural host anemones, I had about 10 babies ocellaris, Percula and Percula/Ocellaris hybrids and ended up with 2 pairs (I used to breed clowns and had too many babies and put the best of them in my DT). It is possible that 10 is too few for my larger tank.

That's interesting. I'm actually getting 3-4 true perc/onyx clowns next week. What do you think the magic number would be?

The three normal occ have been in the tank for over a year. Two of them have started breeding and the third one is still allowed to hang around and I've seen him tending to the eggs as well. He other 6 are all new and have been introduced over the past month. He original three give them a hard time to start but slowly let them be.

Hopefully adding a few more does the trick and prevents territory disputes later on.

I have seen people with 20+ in 240 long and they did well. In a cube like your's I think 14-15 should be OK

Very nice looking group of anemones. Any trouble keeping mags and carpets together (doesn't look like it)?

Beautiful setup and anemones.

I have the same question about clown number. Unfortunately I lost 3 out of my 4 skunk clowns when I recently moved my gigs from LA to SF.

Ironically my $5 Petco A.Sandaracinos made it and is thriving, but my female Vanuatu A.Sandaracinos and A.Perideraion pair perished due to a bacterial infection after a day the got moved.

Now I am debating whether to add at least a dozen perculas or stick with skunks.
My gigs are at least 16" each.

does your Haddoni's mouth remain like that? closed but clearly see the roundness instead of a slit??

I've had my red Haddon for half a year now. Healthy and growing. But the mouth is like that all day long

Thanks for the love everyone!

I'm shooting for 15 clowns. Gonna go check out some snowflakes this weekend.

No problem keeping them together. One thing I did notice was that they were never as full as they are now as long as my bta was in the tank. It's now in a 30g and the carpets are much happier. Could be coincidence thought.

Thanks Taylor!

My haddonis both stay like that. Open fully and all just have a nice round mouth. The gigs on the other hand are much more like a slit and tighter.

So when there are that many clowns in the tank - do multiple fish share the same nem? How does that work out? Would the key be to have a different species of clown for a different nem?

I have a Crispa now with a skunk clown in a 6' 155 tank. Thinking of a Hadoni and couple ocellaris. Sounds like that may not work long term???

Ocellaris and Percula will chase the young fish from the anemone. In large anemone, they hover around and diver in when ever they can and at night as the light turn out, or when I stick my hand in the tank to work on something
