Yea I am excited about, this is the first one with a sump. Going to be a total system of a little bit over 100 gallons when I am done with the setup.
Wish I could keep a Green Mandarin (Synchiropus splendidus) in it, but I think I will have to wait for the 120 gallon setup I plan for next year... maybe get away with a breeding pair in that one!
Ha that's funny me too with the sump! I had a 40 breeder all HOB before this one Red Sea reefer 250 it's a whole new ball game. And why do you have to wait for a bigger tank for the mandarin they are fine in as little as a 40 gallon, just need one that eats anything other then pods, tank size is def not a prob.
Looks good I just finished my cycle last week and added my first clowns and bubble tip . it's exciting starting a new tank can't wait to see how it turns out.
That's pretty quick for adding an anemone. How is it doing?

I know! But I'm risking it and my lfs said it would be fine.
I love my LFS. I go in there all the time to shoot the breeze. They are patrons where I work as well. I do not get advice for saltwater fish from them.
General consensus is a stable tank is needed to appropriately care for an anemone. I don't mean that it is finished cycling, but has been rock solid stable, gone through all the little diatom blooms and algae blooms and is about a year old.
It's a pretty bubble tip, I hope it stays healthy, good luck.
I don't know why everyone says don't trust or listen to your lfs haha that's what they do for a living and I'm not talking about petco, petsmart , or anything that is a chain stores.
If your water quality is spot on and have good lighting and keep up with maintainace I do t see why not.
having a stable system for a year is
good to have but that means you shouldn't add anything for that long, I don't agree.

They also sell things for a living.
